Helpful Reviews
- I showed up to the ER at Yale in 2017 with clear signs of Congestive Heart Failure. Thomas Kimberly (who was the APRN who treated me) assumed it was not congestive heart failure (since I was young) and decided not to order an EKG. Not ordering an EKG delayed my heart failure condition from being discovered, which delayed me from being prescribed the heart medications I needed. I ended up being admitted to the hospital, and a few days later when my heart failure was diagnosed, one of the doctors at Yale told me that "a mistake was made, my condition was overlooked." The doctor (I spoke with) told me if the provider that saw me in the ER (which was Thomas Kimberly) simply ordered an EKG, my heart failure would have been discovered "IMMEDIATELY." The extra few days of feeling like I was suffocating (when I was in the hospital with heart failure) could have been avoided if Thomas Kimberly didn’t mess up, since my heart condition would have been discovered that day, instead of days later.

I had my medical records sent to a lawyer, who had doctors review them. the doctors he spoke with came to the same conclusion....that Thomas Kimberly made a major mistake by not ordering the proper diagnostic tests for someone who had my symptoms. the extra few days of feeling like I was suffocating (when I was in the hospital with heart failure) could have been avoided if Thomas Kimberly didn’t mess up, since my heart condition would have been discovered that day, instead of days later...and i would have been prescribed the heart medications I needed sooner.
